PIANOFORTE Executive Board meeting

PIANOFORTE, coordinated by the French Nuclear Safety and Radiation protection Authority (ASNR), is a pan-European partnership uniting over 100 organisations from 26 countries. Its core mission is to advance radiation protection for the public, workers, patients, and the environment through innovative research. The partnership focuses on improving medical radiation safety, understanding individual variability to exposure, and enhancing resilience in radiological crises. It supports evidence-based policymaking and advocates for sustained EU investment to ensure scientific excellence, regulatory robustness, and sustainable use of ionising radiation. By fostering collaboration among research platforms and stakeholders, PIANOFORTE aims to address emerging challenges, drive technological progress, and align with EU priorities like the Cancer Plan, the Green Deal, and the implementation of the Roadmap for reducing industrial and natural risks.
